POWER

 

POWER is a €5.8m inter-regional programme aimed at driving Low Carbon Economies partly funded through INTERREG IVC in seven European regions:

• Andalucia (Spain)

• Emilia-Romagna (Italy)

• Malopolska (Poland)

• Noord-Brabant (The Netherlands)

• South East England (England)

• Stockholm (Sweden)

• Tallinn (Estonia)

 

Two calls will be organised to select up to 12 international projects inviting the local/regional stakeholders to participate in the regional initiative.

 

The five areas selected for joint co-operation and pilot initiatives are:

• Energy Efficiency

• Renewable Energies

• Eco-innovation and environmental technologies

• Sustainable transport

• Behaviour Change

 

Results from the projects will inform the network of regional policy experts in their field and be used to ensure a more integrated policy framework with a greater awareness and ownership at ground level.

PEOPLE

 

PEOPLE is an inter-regional programme within INTERREG IVC with a total budget of €3,9 million carried out by the following regions:

• Andalucia (Spain)

• South East England (England)

• Stockholm (Sweden)

• Noord-Brabant (The Netherlands)

• Malopolska (Poland)

• Venice (Italy)

• Timisoara (Romania)

 

The aim of the project is exploring the opportunities for employment and services due to the demographic changes taking place in these territories. This way, PEOPLE will contribute to reinforce the cohesion and social welfare in the regions participating with proposals to struggle against the consequences of the actual economical crisis.

 

PEOPLE focus on the following thematic areas:

• Reconciliation of work and private life

• E-health & Independence

• Silver economy

• Social and e-inclusion

• Social entrepreneurship

• Civil society empowerment

 

During the 3rd Steering Committee Meeting held in Madrid the 16th of November 2009, the PEOPLE partnership agreed to approve for financing under conditions 7 Sub-projects.
