Madeleine Sjöstrand is the Managing Director of Stockholm Region. Madeleine was appointed by the board of Stockholm Region on 3 December 2009 to lead the organisation until May 2010. She replaces Thomas Friis Konst, the former Managing Director, until the new Managing Director will be appointed.

    Since 2008 Madeleine is running her own Consultant Agency "Utvecklingsstrategerna AB". Besides that she has long experience from working in the public sector, her latest positions being Municipal director in Haninge municipality, and before that Municipal director in Trosa. Both municipalities are located in the Stockholm Region.

Louise Bratt Carle has been working in the organization since January 2000. She is responsible for coordination of different activities the Stockholm Region is carrying out. Louise is taking care of administrative tasks and day-to-day activities of the Stockholm office. She is also responsible for organising numerous study trips from the home region to the Brussels office.

Previously, Louise has been working for the Association of Local Authorities in the Stockholm County. Prior to that she was a Public Relations Officer with the task informing the publicity in the Stockholm Region about the implementation of the Dennis Agreement (concerning development of road traffic and public transport in the County of Stockholm). Her previous career was in the hotel business. Louise graduated in Information & Public Relations.

Lada Illarionova is a member of the organisation's management group, which jointly plans and coordinates activities of the offices in Stockholm, Brussels, St. Petersburg and Warsaw.

Since early 1990s Lada worked in a number of Swedish cooperation projects with St. Petersburg and was actively involved in interaction between Stockholm and St. Petersburg. At the same time she was a tutor and a researcher at the St. Petersburg State University, where she took her Master of Arts exams in 1986. During the last three years as a university tutor Lada worked at the Department of European Studies of the School of International Relations.

Lada is studying for an MBA (Master of Business Administration) by distance-learning at Warwick Business School, UK (The Warwick Executive MBA). Currently she is on the final part of the programme. Lada has a Certificate in Accounting (Företagsekonomiska Institutet, 2005).
