Madeleine Sjöstrand |
 Madeleine Sjöstrand is the Managing Director of Stockholm Region. Madeleine was appointed by the board of Stockholm Region on 3 December 2009 to lead the organisation until May 2010. She replaces Thomas Friis Konst, the former Managing Director, until the new Managing Director will be appointed. Since 2008 Madeleine is running her own Consultant Agency "Utvecklingsstrategerna AB". Besides that she has long experience from working in the public sector, her latest positions being Municipal director in Haninge municipality, and before that Municipal director in Trosa. Ferdinand Alonso |
Ferdinand Alonso was appointed Assistant Director of the Stockholm Region in November 2001. As he has a background in the project management, his duties at the Brussels office includes managing of EU projects as Interreg III C and the 6:th Framework programme. Earlier, Ferdinand took part in budget follow-ups in several EU project consortiums and worked on the projects within programmes such as Med-Urbs, Ecos/Ouverture and PACTE. Previously, Ferdinand as Financial Analyst worked for Thomas & Betts, an American multinational specialized in electronic and automotives sector. Later on, he joined SONY Information Technology in the Finance & Control department controlling and building up the logistic budgets for the European facilities of this business unit. Ferdinand studied Economics and International Affairs at HEC-Brussels.

Madelen Charysczak |
 Madelen Charysczak works in the the Brussels office since October 2006. She works mainly with policy monitoring and thematic events. Madelen holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Padova in Italy. She has aslo studied Sustainable Development at the University of Stockholm. Apart from Swedish and English, Madelen speaks fluently Italian and some Spanish and German.

Joanna Szyfter |
 Joanna Szyfter works for the Stockholm Region Brussels office as European Policy officer. She monitors EU affairs with special focus on research and development, innovation and education. She is also responsible for the office information activities. Joanna has been studying Political Science at Master level at Stockholm university and holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Södertörn University College in Sweden. Joanna speaks fluently Swedish, Polish, English and some Spanish. Gustaf Lundgren |
 Gustaf works for the Stockholm Region Office in Brussels as European Policy Officer. He is responsible for the office's policy work and monitors EU affairs with a special focus on public health, employment and social affairs. Gustaf has a Master's degree in political science with a specialisation in European Politics from Stockholm University. He has also studied Italian, French, International Relations and Economic History. Apart from Swedish and English, Gustaf speaks Italian, some French and some German. Caroline Wettermark |
 Caroline is working as Project Assistant at the Stockholm Region Office in Brussels. She is responsible for the daily news update and takes part in the office's policy work, conference participation, delegation planning and coordination of networks. After finishing the internship Caroline will hold a Master's degree in legal science with international focus from Örebro University. She has previously worked at the asset management firm Brummer & Partners in Stockholm, studied international commercial law, business and French in Stockholm and in Lyon. Tobias Ghersetti |
 Tobias is working as Project Assistant at the Stockholm Region Office in Brussels. He is responsible for the daily news update and takes part in the office's policy work, conference participation, delegation planning and coordination of networks. Tobias has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Uppsala University and is currently pursuing Master's studies of European Science at Södertörn University College. He has also lived in Rome, where he followed courses in Political Theory and International Relations at LUISS Guido Carli and worked as an intern at the Bilateral department at the Embassy of Sweden in Rome.
